Thank you for writing this and exposing what so many of us think and know but don’t have the courage to do so. You cited many reasons as why I left that campus as well.
Thank you for your courage and for sharing this. It’s reassuring to know that this piece resonated with you and validated your experiences. Your voice adds depth to this conversation, and I appreciate you speaking up.
I shared your post to a FB Charter school page I am in and all comments said your article is written very well. I hated recruiting days because I felt that I could no longer in good faith sell this school to parents. Seeing people placed in positions with zero experience is very disturbing. Seeing teachers reach level 4 master teachers when lesson plans are never turned in or turned in weeks later, when their data was well below other schools when compared to their grade level is insane. One only knows it happens because of favoritism. Again I’m so grateful for this article. So many including myself are/were afraid to speak up due to retaliation. Thank you for shedding light to the issues at hand.
Lily, thank you for sharing this and for your thoughtful feedback. Please continue to share! And, stay tuned—there’s more to come as we continue to shed light on these challenges and push for real change. Thank you for your support!
Time to speak up. To advocate for our students needs. After all that's also part of the job of being a teacher. If you are not willing to advocate for your needs as a teacher ( and your students) how can you possible teach your students to advocate for themselves
Love this!! 100% truth

This single-handedly confirmed my suspicions
